I went here in 2017 at Christmas time. I had to try their famous chicken soup. The place was lively. A very handsome man seated us. I complimented him when we left. I had the chicken soup and it was great. Warm and flavorful. Then I had the foot log hot dog - also famous. It's a little funny to eat a foot long in public. No explanation needed. It was juicy, meaty and large. The mustard was a great slightly spicy, deli style.

One of the many things I wanted to do in the great city of New York was to visit an old time, old style, all American diner and this place did not truly disappoint. The ambiance was very 1950's, the service was amazing, the portions were very generous and if I have anything to complain about, it was that what I ordered did not match my expectations. Mind you, what I mean is that my expectation was not what I was served but that did not mean that the food was not delicious. Again, this was on me and does not reflect the restaurant, hence my 5 star rating overall and I plan to visit my next time in The City. I definitely would recommend this place to stop in and have a delicious, generous, nostalgic bite to eat.

Who doesn't love a diner? Service was awesome. The decor and ambiance feel like a step back in time. Food was on point- with a lot of old timey options. Fast service. Get the chocolate egg cream!!

I can't tell you how many times we've walked by the Brooklyn Diner on West 57th Street, just west of Carnegie Hall. Our friends asked us to join them for dinner and we were skeptical about their choice but we found their menu and entrees to be fantastic. Our waiter, Richie was incredibly helpful and made our dining experience to be memorable. We will definitely return soon. I had the Brooklyn Salad with salmon and the portion was huge and the salmon perfectly prepared! We shared their 8 inch chocolate chip cookie that was probably longer than 8 inches and DELICIOUS!

We saw this place in one of the top places you have to visit in nyc and it's honestly worth it. I will recommend you to get a reservation tho (we got it with one day in advance) I hate the fact of going for eggs to a diner when you can make those as good at home but there was something in this eggs that made them really good. The slice of bread that it's included feels homemade it was my favorite part ! I have no words for the pancakes, we're perfect and full of Nutella YUMMY!!! The place it's a common dinner, nothing fancy but cool for the experience. They will try to make you leave as soon as you finish since they have always waiting list plus reservation. I'll give this place a 9/10

Folks!! If you haven't been, you MUST visit the Brooklyn Diner! The food is amazingly delicious, and you can truly take my word for it, as this is the 6th+ time we've been, and will continue to plan on coming on a regular basis too! Upon entry we hope you are greeted by an amazing, gracious human being, Guy (restaurant manager), and seated at a table served by Saul, who is an amazing server (he's very attentive, professional with a friendly demeanor)! Truly, this place is filled with great people and great food! And the ambiance is absolutely amazing; very warm, welcoming and clean, you feel like you're at home with family! We ordered their hamburger special which was cooked as per my wife's request (most restaurants miss the mark; not here), and their "15-bite" hot dog with fresh sauerkraut, mustard and relish! All was polished off with a delicious Oreo milk shake, and a slice of THEE BEST coconut cake EVER! The cake just melts in your mouth, and has the right amount of sweetness! And the coconut shavings were so fresh we coulda sworn we were in Hawaii! BUT know this, it's a diner favorite served only on the weekend and sells out fast!! We'll see you all there! Guy! Table for two please!!

Brooklyn Diner is one of the best in the city! Lunch prices are definitely much better but their pastrami hash continues to hit it out of the park. I indicated a gluten allergy and they went out of their way to make it happen. The chocolate milk is very rich so definitely plan to share. Grabbing a table is never an issue. There's plenty of seating in the small establishment. It's nice mood lighting and perfect for conversation with friends!
